ENTRY GUIDELINES

  1. Forum Lightscape Photography Awards (“FLPA”) 2026 is open to all Applicants, amateur and professional photographers, regardless of their country of origin.
  2. Applicants must have complete 18 years of age at the time of submission of their entry.
  3. Entries for FLPA 2026 are to be submitted online only via the official website.
  4. Entries are open exclusively only to individual person; submissions from groups, legal entities or agencies are not allowed.
  5. Entry submissions will be accepted exclusively in digital format.
  6. The Photographs must be as per the below specifications:
  • Format: JPEG image
  • Resolution: 300 DPI
  • Print Size: max 100 cm longer side
  • File Size: 15 – 25 MB
  • No watermarks, borders, or signatures
  1. Applicants should use licensed, legitimate digital software for photograph enhancement and retouching. Submissions created using unauthorized or fraudulent software will not be the responsibility of the Organizers or affiliated entities and will be subject to disqualification.
  2. Basic post-processing such as colour correction, contrast adjustment, and cropping is allowed, but excessive digital manipulation that alters and compromises the architectural integrity is discouraged.
  3. All images must be submitted as RAW files for verification.
  4. Human models may be used but should occupy only about 20% of the image and appear in silhouette form. It shall be the Applicant’s onus to obtain a NOC from the human model and submit it at the time of uploading the photograph.
  5. Submissions of entries for FLPA 2026 will commence from 27th April 2026 12:00 Hrs.
  6. The submission deadline for entries is 26th May 2026. 00:00 Hrs Forum Homes Pvt. Ltd. (“Organizer”) may extend this deadline at its discretion, with any updated dates communicated via the official FLPA website.
  7. Photo submissions for FLPA must be appropriate for universal viewing and must not include any provocative, objectionable, or inappropriate content, as they are intended to be viewed by audiences of all age.
  8. The Photography must strictly adhere to the genre of Architectural Photography, meaning Photography of man-made spaces—both inside (interiors) and outside (exteriors)—in a way that makes them look aesthetically pleasing and accurate.
  9. Entries that do not fall within the genre of Architectural Photography will be subject to disqualification.
  10. Applicants may submit images in colour or black & white. AI-generated images are strictly prohibited, and any entry found to be AI-generated will be disqualified.
  11. A person who identifies as a creative artist with or without a formal training in multidisciplinary art forms while making use of industry standard mediums and tools in Photography is eligible to participate.
  12. Applicants are required to maintain an accurate and current personal profile, including name, photo, ID proof, phone number, and email address, as the Organizer will rely on this information for communication. Entries with incomplete profiles will be disqualified.
  13. The submissions should be of original works, and no plagiarism will be entertained and considered for evaluation. The Applicants shall indemnify the Organizer for any issue arising out of plagiarism and the Applicant concerned shall be personally liable for the same.
  14. Entries must be made by or before the closing date and time and in the manner set out in the Contest’s Terms and Conditions. Failure to do so, will result in disqualification.
  15. Multiple submissions of entries by the same Applicant will not be considered and the first entry per Applicant received would be considered.
  16. The results of the Contest will be declared on contest website forumphotoawards.com.
  17. Employees of the Organizer, and their immediate family members including spouse, children, parents and parents-in-law are not eligible to participate in this contest.
  18. Applicants are mandated to provide accurate and correct information on the entry form and upon selection as Winner, 2nd Prize Winner, 3rd Prize Winner and Honourable Mentions, they shall submit a valid Govt. issued identity proof such as an Aadhar card, valid Passport, Driver’s License, Election Commission ID card, Photo Identity cards issued by Govt. recognized educational institutions (for students only), ration card etc.

Contest Winning Prize

  1. The selected top entries will be awarded cash prizes:
    • Professional Category First Prize – INR 1,00,000
    • Professional Category Second Prize – INR 50,000
    • Professional Category Third Prize – INR 25,000
    • Amateur Category – Top 3 entries (INR 15,000 each)
    • Enthusiast Category – Top 3 entries (INR 5,000 each)
    • Honourable Mention for 25 selected works
  1. A Panel of Jury appointed by the Organizer will assess all the qualified entries received for award.
  2. Entries will be judged on the basis of elements of creativity, originality, composition, artistic merit and visual impact and style adhering to Architectural Photography.
  3. The decision of the Panel of Jury will be final and binding on all the Applicants and no clarifications in this regard will be issued to any Applicants for any of their decisions.

General Terms and Conditions

  1. The Organizer will have all Non-Exclusive and Royalty Free intellectual rights (Copyright / License) for 3 (Three) years over the submitted entries for usage in a way felt appropriate by it. FLPA winners will have no right or claim on the submitted entries once the winners are declared and the copyrights of the winners on their entry photographs shall stand assigned to the Organizer.
  2. Anyone found infringing on others’ copyright would be disqualified from FLPA. FLPA Organizers do not bear any responsibility for copyright violations or infringements of intellectual property carried out by the Applicants.
  3. The Applicant shall submit the Photography as their original creation, and they are the sole owner of the copyright as defined under Section 17 of the Copyright Act, 1957.
  4. By registering the Applicant confirms that no current employer and/or learning institution that the Applicant is employed by or enrolled with will have any claim on the Photograph developed and submitted by the Applicant.
  5. As the awards involve collecting personal data of the Applicants, the Organizers shall be entitled to use the data of the Applicants for the purpose of conducting the competition and for such purpose as may be permissible under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023.
  6. By submitting the Work, the Applicant grants the Organizer an exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable, worldwide license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute the Work for promotional and marketing purposes.
  7. If a submitted photograph features identifiable persons, Applicants must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) or consent from the individual(s) depicted to ensures compliance with privacy regulations, including Section 66E of the Information Technology Act. Applicants are solely responsible for obtaining such consent and indemnifying the Organizer against any claims arising from privacy violations.
  8. In consideration of the prize money (1st, 2nd, or 3rd place), winners agree to assign and transfer exclusive intellectual property rights to the Organizer. The Organizer shall have the right to utilize such Works for commercial purposes, including but not limited to publications, branding, and exhibitions, without further compensation.
  9. The Organizer shall have the authority to discontinue the contest at its discretion without providing any prior notice, and all submitted photographs shall be deleted from the website and shall not be retained by the Organizer.
  10. The Applicant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer, its directors, and sponsors against any losses, damages, or legal expenses arising out of:
  • Any breach of the entry guidelines mentioned above
  • Claims of copyright infringement brought by third parties
  • Unauthorized use of human models or property without necessary releases
  1. The top entries, which are declared as 1st Place, 2nd Place & 3rd Place and select Honourable Mentions will Suo moto become exclusive intellectual property of the Organizer and exercising any right over the photographs after acceptance of the prize shall not be permissible.
  1. Any image in violation of community standards, will be disqualified and will be treated as an offense under Cyber Law.
  2. The Applicant(s) represent(s) and warrant(s) that he / she will comply with all the applicable Indian laws. The Applicant(s) shall not disclose and or use any information, if doing so is in violation of any obligation against confidentiality.
  3. By registering for participation in the Contest, the Applicant(s) warrant that:
  • They have complied with all terms and conditions
  • Their entry does not infringe any Intellectual Property Rights of any third party
  • Any current employer and or learning institution that the Applicant is employed by or enrolled with will have no claim on the Photograph developed and submitted by the Applicant
  1. FLPA Organizers reserves the right to reject any entry of the Applicant without assigning any reason.
  2. The Organizer accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss or injury of any kind suffered by any Applicants in entering the Contest, including as a result of any Applicant winning or not winning declared prize.
  3. The Organizer will not be held responsible, if the Applicants are not able to upload their entries before the last date & time of submission for any reason whatsoever.
  4. The Applicant shall be responsible for taxes payable on the prize money received.
  5. In the event any of the Applicants choose not to receive the prize money the prize money shall be forfeited and dealt by FLPA at its discretion.
  6. The contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India and Courts in Mumbai shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of these terms. The Applicant acknowledges that the evaluation of the Panel of Jury is subjective. The decision of the Jury and the Organizer regarding winners and prize rationalization is final and non-justiciable.
  7. FLPA reserves the right to extension, cancel or amend all or any part of the Contest and or the Terms & Conditions and Evaluation Criteria. However, any changes to the Terms & Conditions / Evaluation Criteria, or cancellation of the Contest, will be updated via official communication posted on the contest page on the forumphotoawards.com. Applicants are responsible to keep themselves informed as to any changes in the Terms & Conditions Evaluation criteria stated for this Contest.
  8. By submitting entries to the Forum Lightscape Photography Awards (FLPA) 2026, the Applicant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions outlined herein. Submission of an entry constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these terms.
